Outside the UK?
We regularly work with individuals and families in other countries who wish to protect their UK assets. Each situation is different, so talk to us to find out how we can help.
Step 1: Send us a message
If you decide you’d like to work with us, the first thing to do is to send us a message. We’ll then be in touch to arrange a good time to chat. We do our discussions over the phone but we’re happy to book a video call if you prefer.
Step 2: Information Zoom Call
We’ll talk to you and ask lots of questions to fully understand your situation and to cover all the financial, legal and practical sides of end-of-life planning. This call usually takes about 40 minutes.
Step 3: Receive your recommendations
After our call, you’ll receive a document from us via email, which summarises what we talked about and sets out our recommendations for you. It will explain what we think are the best ways to give you what you want.
Step 4: Options Zoom Call
In our second call, we’ll go through the recommendations we’ve made for you, answer any questions, and help you make some key decisions. You can have more time to think things over if you need it.
Step 5: Pay & Confirm
There’s no obligation to continue, but hoping you will, we ask for payment and some finer details to help us create your legal documents. You’ll have access to our online portal to confirm all your information is correct. We’ll then post your documents to you.
Step 6: Signing
Your Will only becomes valid once signed and witnessed by two people, so this bit is really important. You’ll need to choose your own witnesses to watch you sign (they need to be impartial, so friends or neighbours not mentioned in your Will are ideal).
Step 7: Setting up your Kinvault
The next step is to set you up with your own digital Kinvault, to start the process of gathering all your important information together. We’ll show you how to do this and answer any questions you may have. It’s then over to you to populate it (but we’re at the end of the phone if you need us).
Step 8: Handover services
If you agree, we also ensure everyone who has a role in your end-of-life plan knows about it. We explain to them how the Kinvault works and ask them to contact us when you die or can no longer make your own decisions. When the time comes, we give them access to your Kinvault to finalise admin tasks and carry out your wishes.
